College of Nursing Faculty and Students Recognized at Annual Honors Convocation

卧龙资源网 recognized outstanding student and faculty achievement during the 57th Annual Honors Convocation on April 15. Among those honored were several members of the Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing, recognized for excellence in research, scholarship, teaching and service.
Congratulations to the 2026 Honors Convocation awardees from the College of Nursing:
Student Honors
- Sarah Lievano, senior in the Freshman Direct Admit Bachelor of Science in Nursing program, was recognized among the Undergraduate Researchers of the Year.
- Sydney Gibbons, senior in the Freshman Direct Admit Bachelor of Science in Nursing program, was named among the University Scholars.
- Melyssa Mitchell, senior in the Freshman Direct Admit Bachelor of Science in Nursing program and member of Alpha Kappa Alpha, was recognized in the Fraternity and Sorority Scholars category for the second consecutive year.
Faculty Honors
- Mary Ann Leavitt, PhD, associate professor in the Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing, received the Alumni Degree of Difference Award and was also a finalist for the Distinguished Teacher of the Year Award.
- Armiel Suriaga, PhD, assistant professor in the Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing, was recognized for Excellence and Innovation in Undergraduate Teaching.
The annual Honors Convocation celebrates members of the Florida Atlantic community whose achievements reflect academic excellence, dedication and impact across the university.
