Academic support services are听non-remedial, free, and peer-led听opportunities designed to help you:

Learn course content effectively
Strengthen your study skills
Develop key competencies valued by employers

Years of data show that students who use these services consistently earn听higher grades听than those who do not.

What academic support services are available in the CTL?

First-year students have access to a wide range of services, all included in tuition:

Subject tutoring听for Math, Science, Business, Engineering, and Languages
Writing consultations听for any written assignments
Learning Assistants, Supplemental Instruction Leaders, and embedded tutors听for select courses
Speaking consultations听for presentational communication
Academic coaching and technology literacy听for students enrolled in online courses

Does the CTL offer employment opportunities for students?

Yes! In fact, our center usually employs over 250 students each academic year. Qualifications, responsibilities, and compensation vary across our academic support programs, but all of these opportunities offer flexible schedules and help our employees master and apply content in their majors.
